The Lumpkin Family Foundation, created in 1953, is a private foundation that provides grants to meritorious nonprofit organizations for the betterment of the community, the nation and the world. We are dedicated to supporting education, preserving and protecting the environment and fostering opportunities for leadership, with special consideration to our heritage in Central Illinois.

What's New?

  • The Lumpkin Family Foundation is excited to begin the process of moving our grant application and reporting processes on-line. The Micro-Grant and Central Illinois programs are the first with our other grant programs to follow in the coming year.
  • Now accepting Letters of Inquiry for the Central Illinois grant program- deadline August 29, 2008.   • Foundation Seeks Americorps*VISTA Nonprofit and Volunteer Network Field Coordinator: The Lumpkin Family Foundation in collaboration with the Serve Illinois Commission and the Illinois Department of Human Services is pleased to announce this full-time position. The Nonprofit and Volunteer Network Field Coordinator will share time between the two organizations, supporting the Illinois Volunteer Management Network and its activities in the region, as well as the emerging Nonprofit Excellence Network of The Lumpkin Family Foundation.   • Local Food Program Report and Recommendations Available: Between July and December 2007, a team led by the Delta Institute of Chicago researched the opportunities available to The Foundation to have an impact on issues related to food in the Lumpkin grantmaking region.
