The Lumpkin Family Foundation announces the following changes to staff effective May 1, 2021. 

Emily Ashby joins the Foundation full-time in her current role as Program Assistant.  Having been with us part-time since October 2019, Emily’s duties will now include aiding applicants in the use of our grant lifecycle management system, managing grant payments and correspondence, and assisting with a variety of Foundation communications, research, and record-keeping.  Emily is a Charleston, IL native with a B.S. in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. She is currently a graduate student at Indiana State University. 

Laura Huddleston has been promoted to the new role of Program Officer for Community Engagement and Organizational Learning.  Laura joined the Foundation in 2016, having started as Program Assistant before becoming Program Associate in 2017.  She will turn her focus to the development of local programming and strategy around nonprofit capacity, as well as board, member and staff learning.  She will also help the Foundation increase our attention on evaluation. A Mattoon, IL native, Laura has a Master’s in Library and Information Science and a B.A. in Spanish.  She has previous experience in teaching, educational software development, community literacy programming, and public library outreach.

Daniel Doyle continues as Program Officer with an enhanced focus on Regenerative Agriculture and Food Systems.  Daniel has been with the Foundation since 2019 and manages the Good Food Policy and Land, Health, Community programs.  He brings significant experience as a founder and executive of nonprofits and associations focused on sustainability, education, and the environment. He also has experience as a consultant on projects centered on small farm viability, food justice, food and farm policy, and local food system development.
