Christina is a dedicated leader with a passion for fostering healthier and more equitable communities in rural Illinois, emphasizing sustainability and environmental justice. As the former Illinois Policy Senior Coordinator for Faith in Place, she worked collaboratively with Houses of Worship and stakeholders on initiatives such as anti-racism, energy efficiency, and climate justice.

Her academic background includes a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Marygrove College and a Bachelor's in English/Elementary Education from Albion College. Christina is deeply involved in leadership roles within the IL Great Rivers Conference of the United Methodist Church and the IL Clean Jobs Coalition. She lives with her husband and three daughters in Mattoon, IL.

Daniel Doyle started his work as Program Officer with the Foundation in 2019. His program responsibilities include the Good Food Policy and Land, Health, Community programs.

Daniel Doyle brings significant experience as a founder and executive of nonprofits and associations focused on sustainability, education, and the environment. He also has experience as a consultant on projects centered on small farm viability, food justice, food and farm policy, and local food system development. Daniel has served on state, regional, and national boards and has assisted nonprofits in multiple sectors both locally and nationally build organizational capacity.

Prior to working with The Lumpkin Family Foundation, Daniel served as the Associate Director of The Cornucopia Institute, a national organic food and farm policy research group. Previously, Daniel founded and directed the Mississippi Sustainable Agriculture Network following three years managing a diversified vegetable farm, and served as the first director of the Gaining Ground Sustainability Institute. He brings over a decade of experience in grassroots organizing around the promotion, research, and support of sustainable community development, local food systems, and education reform.

Lindy Wheatley joined the LFF staff in January 2022 and serves as Program Assistant.

Lindy is an East Central Illinois native. For the past five years, she spent her time operating a diversified farm-based business in Effingham, IL while also advocating locally and regionally for small farmers and sustainable farming practices. Educated at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale with a degree in Communications, Lindy has a wide range of work experience from office management and event coordination to mass communications and media production.

Monique Bobb Schlichtman has had an extensive career in the public and nonprofit sectors. She’s worked for large social service agencies, city government, higher education, and various nonprofit organizations throughout New York City, Southern California, and Chicago. She most recently served as the Executive Director of Chicago nonprofit organization that provided mental health supportive services to women and families. Prior to that role, Monique was as an independent consultant, helping organizations to build internal capacity, develop efficient systems, and deliver impactful programming. Monique has significant experience in program design and evaluation, budgeting, management, and strategic planning.

Monique is currently in the process of completing her doctoral studies in Public Administration with a concentration in public and nonprofit management within the College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She received her bachelor’s degree in Public Policy from Brown University in Rhode Island and received her master’s degree in Public Administration as a National Urban Fellow from Bernard M. Baruch College in New York City.

Outside of professional and educational pursuits, Monique spends her time raising two amazing girls, traveling around the world, and connecting with family and friends. As a native New Yorker, Monique often finds time to return home to consume real pizza.

Bruce joined The Lumpkin Family Foundation as Executive Director in 2001.

He was previously at the University of Iowa where he completed a law degree and helped to found the Iowa Nonprofit Resource Center.

After spending two years as a CUSO (Canadian) volunteer in Botswana, Bruce began a career in nonprofit management as a fundraising consultant with an international fundraising firm. He followed that with stints managing fundraising programs at hospitals in Nova Scotia and Ontario.

Founder and president of the US Friends of Adonai, Bruce volunteers his time coordinating fundraising for a community-based organization in rural Uganda.

He is a current director of the Mid-Illinois Big Brothers Big Sisters and past director of Forefront Illinois, the National Center for Family Philanthropy, SAFSF, and the Mattoon Arts Council.

In addition to his J.D., Bruce holds a B.A. and an M.A. in Economics from the University at Buffalo and the University of Toronto respectively.
